Absolute Flash Vol 1 #14 - Cover A Nick Robles

Wally and Linda flee through a labyrinth made of mirrors until they reach a dead end. In one of the mirrors that make up the walls Wally sees the Kent Farm, and in another Linda sees the Dibny Mission and Ralph. They wonder how any of this is possible, but then hear voices behind them and see the men in goggles closing in. They ask "Where. Is. Sudder?", and when they see that Wally and Linda are not who they're looking for they decide to kill them. Wally, with Linda still holding onto him, runs along the wall and up onto the ceiling to escape their attackers. Gravity somehow shifts around them, so that Linda doesn't drop off his back. After they lose their attackers, they stop and check out the mirrors around them. In one of them, Wally sees his childhood home which he and Rudy moved out of after Mary's death, now with a new family living in it; and in another he sees his room at Fort Fox. Meanwhile in a mirror on the "floor", Linda sees her older brother, who she hasn't had any contact with since they were split up by the foster system two years ago. She tearfully tells Wally that she believed he was dead and asks if her brother can hear her, but he says he doesn't think so.

Then in a mirror on the wall, Wally sees Still Point; and Rudy talking with Barry and the alien scientists. He tries to call out to Rudy, and when Linda reminds him that Rudy can't hear him, Wally pounds on the mirror shouting that Rudy has to hear him. The mirror shatters and the men in goggles appear, emerging from the mirror around them. One of them reaches out of a mirror above them and pulls them through into the ruins of Barry's lab back at Fort Fox. He tells them that they're safe and the others can't follow. Wally demands to know who he is and the man tells him that he's the "real one" and not like the others. He addresses Wally by name and reveals that he has been watching him.

Wally demands that the man open the way into Still Point for him, and the man replies that he will if Wally does something for him. Wally slams him against the wall and demands that he do it now, but the man says that if anything happens to him, Wally will never see his father again and Wally lets him go. Wally and Linda demand to know who he is and why his duplicates were trying to kill them. He tells them that his name is Sam Scudder, and he is a physicist and engineer who once worked with Barry Allen and two others to create something called "S.T.A.R. Labs". Scudder explains that he created the "Mirror Dimension" they were just in, but there was an accident and he is now tethered to it. He can't stay outside it for long without suffering severe ill effects and if he doesn't return every hour he will die; but every time he does he creates another one of the doubles that they encounters, soulless things that want to kill him. Scudder tells Wally to find Elenore Thawne, because she can free him. Scudder starts to feel pain and needs to return to the mirror, but promises Wally that if he finds Thawne he will open a mirror into Still Point for him. Wally begs Scudder to take him to his father and then he will help, but Scudder says he has been screwed over by everyone he thought he could trust, and the deal is that he find Thawne first. As he starts to sink into the mirror, Wally says that he doesn't even know where to start. From inside the mirror, Scudder tells him to start with S.T.A.R. Labs and find Ray Palmer.

Wally yells at Scudder to come back but he disappears and Linda says that he's gone. She tells Wally that they will find Thawne, and then make Scudder take them to his father and her brother. He says that he doesn't want to put her in danger again, but she says that she's in it too, whether he wants it or not. Linda gets him a spare costume from a rack of containment suits and they set off back to Central City. Unnoticed, in a shard of broken mirror on the floor, doubles of Wally and Linda appear with evil smirks on their faces.
