Youngblood #1

In Washington, at 12:17 PM, a young man named Jeff Terrell and his girlfriend Shelly Price are shopping in a mall. Shelly is overjoyed that their schedules managed to line up for this, and Jeff complains that he has to fill out too much paperwork in his office, but Shelly explains that paperwork allows Assistant District Attorneys such as herself to jail the bad guys Jeff nails.

When Jeff spots a thief grabbing a handbag from someone nearby, he runs after him. Tackling the man, he is about to be shot by an assassin on a nearby rooftop, but when Shelly shouts a warning, Jeff grabs a pen from his pocket and throws it at the assassin, hitting him in the neck. Checking the assassin, Jeff can find no ID. He gets swarmed by media crew from channel SNN, who had been following him all day. A reporter, Michael Gibson, asks Jeff to confirm Youngblood's involvement in Israel, but Jeff gets a call from HQ, and has to run off.

In Baltimore, at 12:32, Thomas John McCall is having lunch with his mother Angela. He gets a call from HQ and has to leave as well. His mother reminds him to drink his milk.

At a secret underground vault in Arlington, at 12:44, Diehard is freed. He vows to make better use of his freedom "this time".

At his apartment in Arlington, at 13:11, Chapel gets the call from HQ. He tells the woman he is in bed with that she should leave her number just to give her hopes. He puts on his costume and leaves.

In Washington, at 18:23, Vogue is patrolling the city. She received her notification five hours ago like the others, but she is letting them wait so they realize she's not at their beck and call.

After Vogue arrives at Youngblood's Headquarters, Jeff, going by his codename Shaft, is in a bad mood for having had to cancel another lunch date and tells off Vogue and his teammate Photon for being late. Before he can say anything else, the team gets a call for assistance: two members of a supercrime group known as The Four were arrested, and the remaining two are now breaking them out.

On a street in Washington, Strongarm and Gage free Deadlock and Starbright. However, Youngblood arrives. Diehard takes Strongarm by surprise, and the rest of the team charges in after the other villains.
