Death of Wolverine #4 is a 2014 Marvel Comics issue written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Steve McNiven. The issue is the conclusion of the "Three Months to Die" storyline, which follows Wolverine as he loses his healing factor and eventually dies. In this issue, Wolverine confronts Doctor Abraham Cornelius, the founder of the Weapon X program, who has placed a bounty on Wolverine's head. Wolverine slashes an adamantium container to prevent bonding, but is immersed in molten adamantium when the container shatters. Cornelius is fatally injured, and Wolverine reflects on his life before dying from suffocation in the hardening adamantium. As he dies, Wolverine imagines his life as a balance of violence, love, friendship, and mentorship, and leaves Storm in charge of the X-Men.
