Space Family Robinson: Lost in Space #18 - Whitman - VG+

Issue #56 centers on the Robinsons facing a terrifying crisis aboard their space station when they encounter shape‑shifting space prisoners who infiltrate their environment. These hostile beings possess the ability to change their forms, allowing them to blend in, sabotage, and ultimately attempt to take control of the station itself. As the Robinsons realize what is happening, they are thrust into a tense struggle for survival, racing to uncover which figures around them may not be who they seem.

This aligns with the typical mid‑series Whitman era tone—stories featuring psychological tension, alien threats, and the Robinson family using ingenuity and teamwork to overcome extraordinary cosmic dangers. While full story-page breakdowns are not publicly archived, the cover and known issue summaries confirm that #56 is a sci‑fi suspense story revolving around infiltration, identity, and survival.
